Complement Each Other!

Choose clothing colors that complement each other and are in the same color family, but don’t feel like you have to match each other.  Your clothing choices are a great way to emphasize how you and your fiancé complement each other as individuals!

Not black again!

It’s actually a myth that black is a universally flattering color. Instead, wear colors that make you feel good and compliment your skin tone. Look for outfits you might wear on a casual date, but don’t go for anything baggy or sloppy. The most important thing to remember is to wear clothes that make you look great. When you look great, you’ll feel great.  And that energy will result in beautiful photographs!

To tan or not to tan?

Please limit your sun exposure before your portraits. Tan lines and sunburns are very difficult to retouch successfully, so the best way to avoid seeing those problems is to not have them in the first place.

What about sunless self-tanners or spray tans? We do not recommend the use of these products for photography because they present a number of issues.  Sunless tanners tend to look very orange in photographs, and sometimes can look streaky. The best way to get great photographs is to go natural.

If you must have that sun-bronzed look, try a light oil-absorbing bronzing powder. Apply it lightly to your nose and cheeks for a natural sun-kissed glow.

I just got this new album in for Ashley and David, and I can’t believe how beautiful it is!  Ashley and David chose a custom hard cover for their album.  I love these covers because they’re so personal.  It really brings this album to the next level!

Lauren and Brandon are getting married today!  We’re so excited for them, and we’re having such a great time working with them!

I finished this custom guest book last night, and I love it!  Lauren & Brandon are a unique couple, which means their guest book has to be something special!  It was really fun to design this book, which is rather traditional with a rock-and-roll twist!  I’m sure it will be a big hit at their reception!
